ON THE PRIESTHOOD AND THE HOLY EUCHARIST: ACCORDING TO ST. SYMEON OF THESSALONIKA, PATRIARCH KALLINIKOS OF CONSTANTINOPLE AND ST. MARK EUGENIKOS OF EPHESUS

A presentation and partial translation of three Byzantine texts concerning the ministry and function of priests and of the Eucharist and other services of the daily cycle of prayer. They reveal profound theology of the mystery of Christ whilst also touching on many practical considerations which can arise when the sacraments are being celebrated. e.g. The appropriate time for a service, how to reserve the Eucharist etc.
