This is one of the fullest and most ancient extant writings on the Paschal celebration dating from the late second century. It is principally a hymnographical text expounding the meaning of the Feast which was most likely read at the Paschal Vigil. In addition to the translation of this text, detailed background notes are provided and fragments from other ancient texts.
