MIRACLES OF CHRIST, THE

The miracles are studied as the "vehicle of God's self-revelation" and His ultimate reason for coming into the world: the healing and restoration of mankind. They are examined in the "framework of the church's lectionary". He explains for instance why the miracles recorded in the Gospel of Mark are appropriate for Great Lent whereas those recorded in St. John's Gospel are read in the Easter season.
