PAINTER`S MANUAL OF DIONYSIUS OF FOURNA, THE

Compiled on Mt. Athos between 1730-1734 this is one of the oldest Greek style narrative pattern books still extant. It includes introductory sections on icon painting techniques and describes hundreds of figures of saints, biblical scenes etc.
