Suitable for ages nine and upwards this is a very good introduction to monasticism through the story of a child`s first visit to a monastery. Following the story there is an overview of the key elements of monastic life, a brief explanation of Mt. Athos and then a section of games, puzzles and quizzes designed to reinforce the knowledge gained through reading the text. It is a good example for children to see a happiness not based on materialistic pursuit.
